The merge of Love Home Swap with HomeExchange is happening in several steps. Most of it will be done automatically, but it still requires a few actions on your side to ensure you can make the most of your new HomeExchange account.
Step 1: Your account and all its information has been transferred to HomeExchange
At this stage, your listing(s), Points, conversations, exchanges, reviews, etc… have all been transferred to HomeExchange. You should have received an email informing you that the merge has happened. It means that your Love Home Swap account is no longer fully accessible, you can only consult it in a read-only mode until the end of this year.
Step 2: Please check your emails and log into your new HomeExchange account
From the email informing you of the merge completion or directly from the website, you will be able to log into your new HomeExchange account for the first time. You will need to reset the password for your account before logging in.
Note 1: The link provided in the email will only be valid for 24h, so if you wish to log into your new account after this time, please go directly to the website > Sign in > Reset Password
Note 2: If you already had a HomeExchange account, you can log in with your existing credentials.
Step 3: Update the missing information from your profile and listing
HomeExchange provides the option to add a lot more information about your home, including all the amenities, the number/type of beds available and the size of the property. All of this information contributes towards the GuestPoints value of your home so you should ensure it is all updated and correct as soon as possible (especially the amenities and location section). You can do this from the “My home” page and fill in all the information available to reach at least 80%. We invite you to do the same on your profile (“My profile” page) and fill in all the information fields available to have a complete profile. This will inspire trust and help you find exchanges more easily.
Step 4: Verify your account
After your home and profile have been completed, the next important step is to verify your account. HomeExchange has a mandatory verification process in place to confirm the identity and the home address of members in order to increase confidence and security within our community.
To verify your profile, you must:
1. Complete your listing to at least 80%
You can learn how to complete your home on this link and your profile on this link.
2. Verify your email address and phone number (from your profile)
3. Send the following documentation:
- identity document (identity card, passport, or driver's license of the person holding the HomeExchange account)
- proof of residence that is less than a year old (a telephone or electricity bill for the home you choose to list on HomeExchange and in the name of the HomeExchange account holder)
You can upload these documents here.
