If, after the exchange, you find damages in your home please follow these steps:
- Take photos and contact your guest to discuss the situation with him/her, to understand what happened.

Contact us by email to give us more information about the damages. Please send us photos and supporting documents (pictures of the damaged items and quotes for the repairs) with regards to the damage. This will allow us to better understand the situation.
- If you would like to claim financial compensation for the damages, click on the "Keep the deposit" button in your messages. Do note that you do need to do so within 10 days from the exchange end-date. Your guest's deposit will not be withdrawn from their account immediately. HomeExchange will first contact both parties to discuss the issue.
What should I do if I've damaged something in my host's house?
If you as a guest have caused or noticed damage in your host's home, please follow these steps:

2. Contact us by email to give us more information about the damages and what led to the damages.
Please send us photos and supporting documents with regards to the damage. This will allow us to better understand the situation to propose a suitable solution.
