2. If needed, update it!
For Google Chrome:
Normally, Google chrome updates are done automatically in the background when you close the browser. But if you have not closed your browser in a while, you might have a pending update.
To update your browser, simply click on the three dots at the top right of the screen, next to your profile photo. If an update is pending, the icon will be in colour and in the drop-down menu you will have the option to select "Update Google Chrome".
For Safari (mac):
When you are on Safari, click on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen. In the drop-down menu, you will see a tab "App Store" with an information about available update(s) if you are not up to date. Click on this tab, it will open the App Store. On the App Store, click on "Updates" in the upper menu. Here you will find the update(s) that are pending and you can simply click on the "Update" button on the right to launch them.
For Internet Explorer:
All the versions of Internet Explorer other than Internet 11 are now obsolete. If your computer is running on Windows 8 or Windows 10, you should have Internet 11 installed, so just make sure to use it as your web browser. If your computer is running on an older system than Windows 8 (for example Windows 7), you need to download Internet 11 from the microsoft website.
To make sure that Internet Explorer 11 is updated automatically, click on the gear icon at the top right of the screen. In the drop-down menu, select "About Internet Explorer". Check the box next to "Install new versions automatically". You browser will now automatically stay up to date.
If you use Windows 10, it is recommended that you use the latest browser released by Microsoft, Microsoft Edge.
For Mozilla:
Click on the Firefox button at the top left of the screen. In the drop-down menu, select "About Firefox". If your version is not up to date, Firefox will check for update and download them automatically. When the download is complete, do not forget to click on "Restart to update Firefox".
