If you come across content on our platform that you believe to be illegal, you can report it to us.
How to report illegal content
You can report content by:
- Using the "Report an abuse" feature on the platform.
- Or by contacting us. You can also contact us via this email address moderation@homeexchange.com.
You don’t have to be a member of HomeExchange to submit a report.
What happens after you report content
Once we receive your report, we will:
Investigate the matter thoroughly.
Inform you of the action we’ve taken, which may include:
- No action, if we determine the content does not violate our policies or the law.
- Removing the content and/or suspending the account of the member who posted it.
Appealing a decision
If you disagree with our decision, you can appeal in one of the following ways:
- By contacting us directly, or replying to the last email you received from our Member Support Team.
- By contacting a dispute resolution body in your country (a list is available here).
When submitting an appeal, please explain clearly why you believe our decision was incorrect and include any supporting evidence. This will help us evaluate your case more effectively.

Any misuse of our reporting systems, such as submitting false or malicious reports, may result in the suspension of your account.
