Depreciation is establishing the real value of an item when the item is damaged, or in other words, it represents how much of an item’s value has been used. An item that has been used for a long time will not have the same value as a brand-new item.
When deciding on the damage reimbursement with HomeExchange Guarantees during our deposit process, we apply the depreciation list as per the categories listed below:

- HomeExchange will only take into account this depreciation list when applying its guarantees.
- The damage will be covered only if the replacement item is of the same material as the original one or similar if original cannot be obtained.
