On your home listing, you can indicate your preferred minimum number of nights for exchange requests. This will indicate your preferences to other members who wish to stay in your home.
Where can I set my preferences?
1) When logged into your HomeExchange account, hover your mouse over “My account” in the top-right corner of the site. In the drop-down menu that appears, select “My home” or the address of the home that you wish to update.
2) Scroll down to your calendar or click “Availabilities of your home” on the left. Just above the calendar will be a toggle marked “I want to specify a preferred minimum number of nights on my listing”. Click this toggle to switch it from a gray ‘no’ to a green ‘yes’. Doing so will make a box appear below.
3) In this box you can enter a number to set your preferred minimum number of nights for your home. Once you have entered a number, make sure you press the orange “Save changes” button to update your home listing with this information.
Where can other members see this?
On the search page: Your preferred minimum number of nights will be visible in the top-left of your main photo for searches that show your home.
On your listing: Once set, your preferred minimum number of nights will appear in two locations on your home listing. It will appear in a blue banner above your calendar. It will also appear once members have clicked the “Contact” button to send you an exchange request.
Please note: the minimum number of nights is a recommendation that will let other members know what your preferences are. It will appear prominently on your home listing, but it will not block requests from potential exchange partners who are proposing exchanges for a shorter block of time. We don't want you to miss out on any great exchange opportunities!
