At HomeExchange, the safety and experience of our members are our top priorities. To protect our community from spam and phishing activities, we’ve implemented a message limit to ensure all communications remain genuine and thoughtful.
How does the message limit work?
To prevent abuse, our system may temporarily restrict users from sending additional messages if they exceed a certain number of messages within a short period of time.
We also have a daily limit on the number of requests that you can send for new exchanges. If you exceed the daily limit for new requests, you’ll see an error message with the title: ""Oops, you've reached today's limit for starting conversations.""
What should I do if I reach the limit?
If you encounter the message limit:
Take a break: The message limit resets automatically after a few minutes. After a short pause, you should be able to send additional messages.
Check for a notification: You may see a pop-up indicating that you’ve reached the maximum number of 100 new requests for the day.
Personalize your messages: To improve your chances of connecting with potential exchange partners, make sure your messages are meaningful and personalized.
Will this affect my ability to arrange exchanges?
The message limit is designed to protect the community while ensuring that genuine communication is not interrupted. For most members, this will not impact regular interactions. However, if you have any urgent questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
